When a customer has a backup failure, I contact them telephonically and walk them through the steps to resolve the issues. It is not an email that goes to the customer saying that they have got a backup failure. If the customer does not notice the email, he would know nothing about this issue. The support I provide to the customers is proactive support. Support and customer interaction are key things. I have some other small productions that I sell, which have a small amount of support, but this runs about 95% to 98% of my business. If anybody is going to implement this solution, take it slowly. The flexibility in creating backup jobs is very applicable to us. I then ran it through the test with one or two customers as a trial, and I liked the way the product worked, its flexibility on the storage and cost, and the way it was supported. We're not aware of the product." I then went and researched it and decided to go for it. They said to me, "Well, have you looked at this product?" We said, "No. We eventually found it by attending an Amazon AWS open day, where I was explaining my issues to them. I did my own research to find a product that would be applicable and useful for us. I would like the reporting capabilities on the portal to be much more granular. They can also do a few tweaks to the dashboard. The rotation feature would be nice to have, but I know that they've got it on their dashboard or on their list to look at. We do use SQL ourselves using a PowerShell script with the VDA tools as a module. The other issue is that I don't like the implementation of the SQL backup. So, the issue is backing up PSG files for customers who have limited bandwidth. At the moment, it doesn't do deduplication on the standard backup. They can add some production backup capabilities and the ability to do single instance back up. I've been looking for a product that does that."
